When it comes to sales and marketing, the newly emergent technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR) have helped the brands in a great manner. The VR helps brands to connect with the customers and offer a personalized experience.

HubSpot’s Amanda Zantal-Wiener has shared three reasons why VR is not going mainstream despite all its features are so useful for the promotional aspects.

Wiener says, “what’s stopping VR from going mainstream? After all, at a minimum, it’s fun to play with. The use cases for education via VR have been lauded by some. And as headset technology continues to improve, so will the experience of using VR for many.

We decided to find out, and asked hundreds of users for their thoughts on VR. Here’s what we found.

VR’s Value Proposition Is Unclear

We asked 745 people across the U.S., UK, and Canada: If you do not own a VR headset, why not?

The highest number of respondents — 27% — indicated that they do not own a VR headset because it “wouldn’t benefit” them.

This response could indicate that use cases for VR remain unclear — and, therefore, so does the value it could add to the user’s day-to-day life. These findings align with those for a second question we asked of 773 people across the same region: If you owned a virtual reality (VR) headset, what would you use it for the most?“.
