In his latest blog entry, Dr.Mani Sivasubramanian talks on “How To Connect With Your Prospects To Multiply Your Profits”.

Dr.Mani says, “The technology and tools available to a home business owner on the Internet allow a degree and depth of interaction with your audience of prospects that has never before been available to older generations.

Sitting at your computer, you can engage clients in conversation, survey them for information, deliver top class customer service and even sample large demographic groups to figure out what your market is seeking and will buy.

Connect With Prospects

Your potential buyers can be anywhere in the world. Your first interaction with them may be through your advertising, website or through a friend. And you can connect with them in many different ways.

You may sign them up to your email newsletter. You can invite them to follow your blog. You can include them in your social networks like Twitter, Facebook or MySpace. All of these are ways to connect with qualified prospects.

Engage With Clients

Just having prospects in your network is of little value unless you engage them in dialog. Use the communication channels to discover bits of information that will help you tailor and create offers to fit their needs and desires.

Call and talk to a client anywhere in the world using inexpensive options like Skype. Or record a video conveying a personalized message to distribute through YouTube. Hold conversations on Twitter. Read and respond to comments on your blog.

Respond With Empathy

When prospects see that you are willing to discuss issues, you’ll see a flood of messages appear in your stream. But unless you are set up to respond to them, and do so in a proactive, positive and empathic manner, you’ll quickly lose the advantage built up.

Make sure you have systems to monitor all communication channels. Some like email are unreliable, and you may have to use alternatives like a help desk system. It may mean hiring and training staff to participate in discussions.

But taking the extra effort will pay off richly as you set yourself and your business apart from the crowd, and show yourself to be genuinely involved and caring about your clients.”
