LookSmart has launched the new version of its AdCenter API. The new version allows advertisers, agencies and partners to connect any type of marketing or reporting software to LookSmart’s search network.


LookSmart has launched the new version of its AdCenter API. The new version allows advertisers, agencies and partners to connect any type of marketing or reporting software to LookSmart’s search network.

Bryan Everett, senior vice president, sales at LookSmart, said: “As we’ve rebuilt the distribution network and launched the vertical search sites, our customers are telling us they need easy access and integration with their systems in order to be able to operate efficiently and express their budgets effectively.

LookSmart’s new AdCenter API utilizes SOAP web services to minimize setup time for new API users and allows management of changes and support for user’s existing connections.

LookSmart has also signed technology partner agreements with tool vendors including APEX Pacific, BidRank, ClickTracks, LivePerson, MakeMeTop, Omniture, Trellian and WebSideStory.

With the partnerships, LookSmart aims at maximizing availability of its technology to a large number of advertisers.
