Google has introduced a new music search feature. The new feature provides information about music and artists as a result of music search queries.

The results are displayed as a “one box” on top of the results page. The results are displayed next to a picture icon of the particular artist. [Source]

The results include links to additional information about the subject of the query and also links to sites where users can purchase music.

The links lead to websites such as Apple, Real, eMusic and other retailers like Amazon and Walmart.

“Right now the music search feature mostly works for popular U.S. artists and a more limited number of artists from other countries, but we plan to expand it to classical music, worldwide artists, and lesser-known performers. Our list of music stores will also grow over time.” [Source]
