A Destructful Trend in Internet Marketing that Needs to be Stopped!
For over a year now we have watched as some Internet Marketers have taken Brand New Products and Devaluing them to the point where no one can make money except the Devaluer who’s only purpose is to make a quick buck.
There really needs to be some reform in the IM Community or we are going to totally destroy what we love. Devaluation of products doesn’t help anyone including the product itself. It is a proven fact that the cheaper the product sells for most people never take a look at it and because it was Devalued it can’t be sold by others that paid for the rights to sell the product.
Not all the Blame can be placed on the Internet Marketer, the product creator has to share some of the blame depending on how the license for the product is written. Most creators do not put in a minimum selling price in their product license and even when they do there are those Unscrupulous Internet Marketers that start Screaming about the United States Sherman Act of 1890 that has been Overturned by the Supreme Court over and over again and was never designed for the creator of a product. The worst part about these Unscrupulous Internet Marketers is that most if not all do not even live in the United States so the Sherman Act doesn’t even pertain to them.
And if the Product Creator is from another country, it would depend on that countries laws if a product creator can set a minimum selling price on a product. Product Creators need to start putting in Minimum Selling prices in their Product Licenses so their hard work Doesn’t get Devalued.
Another trend that is going on and mostly unreported is Product License Violations, this and Product Devaluation needs to be stamped out and the IM Community needs to step up and start policing itself which is why a New Forun Site IMCops.com (http://www.IMCops.com) has been setup so that Internet Marketers can have a place to Report, Comment, Discuss ways to Stop these practices and make suggestions.
At IMCops.com Internet Marketers, Product Creators, Graphic Designers and even buyers can post Violators under a Alias or their real name if they like. All comments are welcome and will not be Censored unless they are inapproperate. IMCops.com will be a FREE to All forum and will offer in the near future Product Monitoring Services if a Product Creator would like to subscribe to such services. IMCops.com is New so there maybe many areas not already created and they are up for suggestions of additional forum subjects as well as in need for Moderators.
Remember as Marketers we need to bring back Honesty and Integrity into the IM Community and we hope everyone will join in and help. We need to educate New Internet Marketers as well as Experienced ones so these trends do not continue.
