What Is Your Core Product?
Since you can’t efficiently market EVERYTHING you sell, it is important to focus your advertising on your CORE product, service, or idea.
This sounds simple enough. But in actual practice, many businesses don’t realize what their core product is.
For a long time I though copy writing was my core product. It was the service almost all my customers wanted. But I quickly learned it wasn’t so much the writing customers were coming for. They valued the free strategies and advice I gave them.
In time I discovered I could get other writers to do the writing, but customers complained if I wasn’t there to offer advice. My core product is advice, strategies, and know-how.
Take a close look at your business. What is the one thing customers value above all else about you? Put that one thing front and center in your marketing.
