iCrossing, a digital marketing agency, has launched the “Search 500 Index”, a new study series to measure the visibility of Fortune 500 companies among people who search online.

iCrossing has released the results of its first study in the series “Search 500 Index: Automotive”.

Key findings of the study include:

– 11 of the 36 Fortune 500 automotive companies ranked higher than a 2.0 for natural search brand visibility

– 6 of the Fortune 500 automotive companies were listed among top 100 Web sites most visible for the automotive keywords

– Online auto dealers are doing a better job than b-to-b automotive suppliers in terms of natural search engine visibility.
