Online advertising will represent 9% of the total Us advertising market by 2011, according to a report ‘US Online Advertising Forecast, 2005 to 2011’ by JupiterResearch.

Key findings of the report include:

– In 2011, total online ad spending will reach $25.9 billion

– Advertisers will continue to increase the share of total budget spent online between 2006 and 2011

– Paid search plays a key role in online ad market

– Search advertising will continue to be a large online ad component in next five years

– In 2005, online ad spending grew 40%

– Online ad spend will grow 21% in 2006.
