The Myth of Google Backlink Data

Lots of webmasters suspected that Google hides a high percentage of backlinks from us since ince they rely on it so much.

Personally, I don’t use Google anymore to find backlink data. Yahoo! has said that they have no problem giving out backlink data, so the Yahoo! Site Explorer is a good resource to use.

Suggested method to monitor your backlink

1. Yahoo! Search – http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/

2. http://www.google.com/alerts – Input your domain as search term and ask Google to show you any new page with this link every day.
