FBI and Department of Homeland Security have launched ‘Protect Your Workplace’ campaign to help people improve security at workplaces.
FBI and Department of Homeland Security have launched ‘Protect Your Workplace’ campaign to help people improve security at workplaces.
The campaign has four posters. The posters include:
– ‘Protect Your Workplace: Physical Security Guidelines
– Protect Your Workplace: Cyber Security Guidelines
– Report Suspicious Cyber Incidents
– Report Suspicious Behavior and Activity’.
FBI’s Cyber Security Guidance details:
Guidelines for employees:
– ‘Make your passwords complex
– Change your passwords regularly
– Do NOT give any of your user names, passwords, or other computer/website access codes to anyone
– Do NOT open e-mails or attachments from strangers
– Do NOT install or connect any personal software to your organization’s network without permission from your IT department’.
Guidelines for Management and IT departments:
– ‘Implement Defense-in-Depth
– Implement Technical Defenses
– Update your anti-virus software daily
– Regularly download vendor security ‘patches’ for software
– Change the manufacturer’s default passwords on all of your software’.
