5 Simple Steps to Prioritize Your Projects

Time Management Question:
Kerry wanted to know how to prioritize the many different projects available and bring them (or at least even one) to completion to start making money online.

Answer:
Based on her question, it appears she is caught in two of the five entrepreneurial time traps: #1 ” Chasing Shiny Objects and #3 ” Constantly “Busy”… getting very little done. She knows that prioritizing her many projects will result in at least getting one of them finished.

I don’t know the details of Kerry’s situation but I’ll offer some suggestions based on past experiences with myself and clients.

First order of prioritizing your projects begins with just picking one. Stick with that one project until completed and producing an income. With so much information coming at you, it’s even more important to get F.O.C.U.S. to eliminate the chasing shiny object syndrome.

F.O.C.U.S. = Finding Optimal Concentration Unleashes Success

You will see faster, quicker results when you focus on only one project or idea at a time. Trying to do all them at once, as Kerry discovered, makes it much harder to finish any of them.

Why is difficult to prioritize your number one project? Lack of direction and self doubt make it difficult to decide what to do. What to prioritize out of that pile of possibilities.

Invest some time asking yourself what you really want from your life. What gets the adrenaline rushing and give you energy? What excites you? Prioritize the projects based on the answer to those questions.

Building a business takes time. It’s doesn’t happen overnight. What every project you pick to start your online income, you need to stay with it for the long haul.

That’s why it’s important to prioritize the project that closely matches your passion. Because if things don’t happen fast enough, you’ll loose interest quickly before your business gets barely off the ground.

Get with a support or mastermind group. You can use this support system to receive feedback on the different projects on your plate. Your support team can help you discover how to prioritize those projects.

That support system makes a big difference. I believe it’s one of the biggest reasons why our Elite Success Teams see major progress and increases in their business. They clearly define the direction they want to take and prioritize their actions to get them there.

It boils down to 5 simple steps in prioritizing which project to complete:

1.Define your life’s direction and passion

2.Prioritize your projects based on that definition

3.F.O.C.U.S. all your time and attention on the top project.

4.Don’t start another project until the first one is complete and profitable.

5.Form a support team to help you brainstorm the above and keep you focused.

A successful solopreneur develops the skill of allocating his or her time and establishing priorities. You can too.
