Jango Mail has added behavioral targeting feature to its services. The feature allows email senders to target lists based on the recipient’s behavioral history.

Lists can be segmented based on different criteria, including:

– Whether a recipient has opened an email
– Whether a recipient has ever clicked on links found in an email
– Whether a recipient has visited a marketer’s webpage
– Whether a recipient has forwarded or replied to an email

The announcement says: “Successful e-mail marketers are leaning towards greater personalization and segmentation and away from “batch blasting” one e-mail to their entire list. They are sending highly relevant content to segments of their lists based on user profiles and user behavior.” [Source]

JangoMail has also published a tutorial on using behavior-based filters on Groups.
