Google FAQ on the Google Book Search site has answered the question of how the publishers can benefit from the new service:
“It’s a way for publishers to experiment with a new method of earning money from their books in addition to those that already exist. Think of it as a way to reach more users by offering a new version of your book with a different reading experience”. [click here]
The service is not yet ready. Google has said that it will be available soon. Google has started the process of allowing publishers to choose which books to include and to set the prices for those books. Once that phase is completed the online book selling will begin.
