Local Search Revenues Reach $3.4 Billion in 2005
Local search revenues have increased 33.4% and reached $3.4 billion in 2005, according to The Kelsey Group. TKG predicts that the local search market will reach $41.3 billion by 2010.
Local search revenues (Internet yellow pages, geotargeted search and on-demand advertising on mobile devices) have increased 33.4% and reached $3.4 billion in 2005, according to The Kelsey Group. TKG predicts that the global print and local search market will reach $41.3 billion by 2010.
TKG also predicts that there will be an annual growth rate of 6.8% from 2005-2010.
According to the press release, “Two new elements of this year’s forecast are global classifieds revenues, which is an acknowledgement of the growing convergence of directories and classifieds, and a look at the breakdown of revenues between fixed and performance-based revenue models.” [Source]
