Yahoo UK & Ireland has launched Audio Search in Beta. Audio Search allows users to search for music, podcasts, newscasts and interviews online.


Yahoo Uk & Ireland has launched Audio Search in Beta. Yahoo Audio Search allows users to search for music, podcasts, newscasts and interviews online.

Audio Search provides music related information including music videos, album reviews, artist images and artists websites.

The Yahoo! Audio Search index includes content from the web, and from mainstream and independent providers including 7 Digital, DJdownload.com, Dmusic, GarageBand.com, iTunes Music Store, Karmadownload, MP34U, Napster, Soundclick, Tunetribe and Wippit.

Salim Mitha, director of Yahoo! Search UK said: “With Yahoo! Audio Search, users have a starting-point for finding all audio-related content available on the Web making it easy for users to find music available online and compare prices between services.” [Source]

Audio Search also provides content from third party partners including Billboard.com, Dusted, ICE Magazine, JazzTimes, Muze and RollingStone.com
