Google is testing the placement of ads from AdWords in select print publications. Google is auctioning ad space in magazines. The deadline to submit a bid is February 20th.

The deadline to submit a bid is February 20th. After the auction closes, Google will contact the winning bidders and work with them to deliver print-ready ads to the relevant publishers.

The winning bidders will get an email from Google by March 3, 2006.

Google has announced in Inside AdWords that it is testing print ad auctioning “Because we want to better understand our advertisers’ interest in this ad space and see if this type of auction makes sense for print”.
