Google has launched the Google Personalized Home for mobile devices.
The new service allows users to access their personalized Google homepage on their mobile phones and PDAs.
Google Personalized Home provides access to Gmail, customized news headlines, weather reports, stock updates, and RSS feeds.
Users who have a personalized Google homepage can access the Google main page through their mobile browser and select the “Personalized Home” link. Then users are requested to sign in with their Google account username and password.
Once they have done this, users need not repeat the process the next time they access their personalized Google homepage. Users who don’t already have a personalized homepage need to create one on their PC.
The Google Blog says: “The interface is optimized for small screens, and we’ve arranged things so you don’t have to click on a bunch of links to locate what you’re after -““ your personalized content appears on top, right where it should be. Give it a try, and let us know how you like it.” [Source]
Google Personalized Home is available for free to mobile users in the U.S. It works with mobile phones that contain an XHTML-capable web browser.
