A survey by Point North Group revealed that 62% of the respondents said that they prefer ad-supported free video downloads to paying $1.99 for ad-free programs.

17% said they would prefer paying $1.99 than download videos with commercials in them. 21% were undecided.

Craig Leddy, Points North Group analyst, said: “This is really good news for media companies and advertisers because it further demonstrates that advertising has a place in the on-demand environment.” [Source]
