Skype has announced a range of new products for its internet phone service users. The new products are Kodak Photo Voice, FLY.1, Xing USB speakerphone, and D-Link Skype USB phone adapter.


Skype has announced a range of new products in affiliation with consumer electronics companies for its internet phone service users.

Skype has launched the Kodak Photo Voice which combines which combines live voice and online photo sharing.

James Bilefield, vice president of business development for Skype, said, “The combination of Skype’s service and KODAK EASYSHARE Gallery’s photo sharing capabilities will make sharing memories even more simple and rewarding for consumers around the globe.” [Source]

Skype has also introduced the D-Link Skype USB phone adapter which allows consumers to use regular corded or cordless telephones to make calls using Skype’s free internet calling service.

The D-Link Skype USB phone adapter allows users to accept regular telephone calls as well as Skype calls from the same phone.

The D-Link Skype USB phone adapter is available globally at the price of $69.99 and will be made available at the Source and the www.kodakgallery.com/photovoice. It will also be made available at major U.S retailers and some retailers in Europe.

Skype, in collaboration with IPEVO, is also going to introduce two new products, FLY.1 and Xing USB speakerphone, in the Consumer Electronics Show 2006 in Las Vegas.

FLY.1 is a USB cordless handset that works only with Skype. FLY.1 allows users to use Skype away from their PC or Macintosh computers through a wireless USB dock.

The Xing USB speakerphone is designed for teleconferencing using Skype and allows multi-user participation through four separate speakers.

Both FLY.1 and Xing USB speakerphone will be available for demonstration at the eBay/Skype booth at CES 2006.
