Google is the top second online web brand for November 2005 based on fastest growth. The top website is Apple, and the third is Amazon.


A study by Nielson/Netratings has revealed that Google is the top second online web brand for November 2005 based on the fastest growth.

The top web brand is Apple. Google is followed by Amazon. Other companies in the top 10 list were MapQuest, Real, eBay, Yahoo, Microsoft, AOL and MSN.

The study also revealed that users between the ages 12-24 are more likely to visit the fastest growing websites. The websites show 50%-90% more young visitors than other age groups.

Gerry Davidson, Senior Media Analyst, Nielson/Netratings, said, “Sites that strongly appeal to generation Y are those at which they can control the content. They provide a desirable in an entertaining format. Thus it is not surprising that many of the fastest growing sites fall into the social networking, blogging, and online member community genres.” [Source]

The study also revealed the top 10 websites by parent company in which Microsoft stood first, followed by Yahoo, Time Warner and Google. The study in the top 10 web brands revealed that the top web brand was Yahoo, followed by Microsoft, MSN and Google.
