Google has announced the top 10 searches for 2005 in Google.com, Google News and Froogle.

The announcement page says “It turns out that looking at the aggregation of billions of search queries people type into Google reveals something about our curiosity, our thirst for news, and perhaps even our desires.” [Source]

The top search for 2005 in Google.com is “˜Myspace’ followed by “˜Ares’ and “˜Baidu’.

The top search in Google News is “˜Janet Jackson’ followed by “˜Hurricane Katrina’ and “˜tsunami’.

The top search in Froogle is “˜ipod’ followed by “˜digital camera’ and “˜mp3 player’.

The announcement also has graphic data on topics such as “˜World Affairs’, “˜Nature’, “˜Movies’, “˜Celebrities’ and “˜Phenomena’.
