Google Launches Gmail Mobile
Google has launched Gmail Mobile. Gmail Mobile allows users to access their Gmail account through their mobile phones. Google has also added Vacation Response and Contact Groups features to Gmail.

Users can access Gmail through their mobile phones by pointing their mobile phone’s browser at
http://m.gmail.com
Gmail Mobile is a free service.
Additional features of Gmail Mobile are:
1. Automatic optimization of phone interfaces. Gmail automatically optimizes itself to suit the user’s phone.
2. Supports most attatchments including document files, image files and .pdf files.
3. Users can reply to emails by directly calling the contact from the numbers stored in Gmail Contacts List.
The Gmail Mobile Help Center says “Gmail Mobile should work on most web enabled mobile phones and devices that have a wireless data plan.” [Source]

Gmail has included two new features:
Automatic Vacation Response and
Contact Groups.
Automatic Vacation Response allows users to automatically send responses to emails when they are on a vacation informing the recipient that the user won’t be available.
Users will see a banner across the top of their Gmail Account when their Vacation Response is enabled.

Contact Groups enables users to organize their contacts into groups so that they can send messages to a group at the same time instead of one by one.
