Yesterday, we discussed the importance of preparing the technical infrastructure for your webinar and how WebinarJam helps you do that.

Phase 2 of running a successful live webinar – Promoting your webinar.

You could send your entire list directly to your live webinar, but to maximize your success, you probably should have people register for your event before they attend.by entering their name and email address in a registration form.

When you are sending your invitation only to people from your own list, this may seem to be a waste of effort. But even in this case, it accomplishes 3 things:
First, it allows you send announcement and reminder emails to the registrants to let them know that the webinar is starting. If you know who is interested (i.e., the ones who registered), you can send your reminders only to them, without bothering everyone on your list who hasn’t expressed interest in the webinar.
Second, when an attendee registers you can send them an autoresponder message series (before or after the webinar, as needed) to provide them more information about the topic of the webinar. Some Webinar software even allows you to create different lists based on whether the person didn’t show up, attended the live event or listened to the replay.
Finally, requiring registration lets you grow your list when people see your social media postings about it or when they receive your announcements forwarded by their friends. That’s the power of word of mouth marketing

WebinarJam is a webinar system that allows:
• List segmentation,
• Pre and post webinar autoresponder messages, and
• Even allows your attendees to register just by clicking a link,
