Metacafe, an independent video site, has appointed Erick Hachenburg as the company’s CEO.

Mr. Hachenburg will look after the company’s overall strategy, day-to-day operations and expand Metacafe’s position as an online destination for engaging short video, according to Metacafe.

Arik Czerniak, co-founder and former CEO of Metacafe, will remain on the executive management team.
