Three AOL members have sued AOL LLC for violating their privacy by posting their search queries online, according to Berman DeValerio Pease Tabacco Burt & Pucillo.


Three AOL members have sued AOL LLC for violating their privacy by posting their search queries online, according to Berman DeValerio Pease Tabacco Burt & Pucillo.

AOL released the queries made by AOL members, without their permission on July 31.

Berman DeValerio filed the class action on Friday, September 22, in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.

The lawsuit seeks damages on behalf of the AOL members whose Internet search query data was disclosed by AOL from January 1, 2004 until the present, according to Berman DeValerio.
