Amazon.com and BookSurge have announced ‘Print-On-Demand’ program. The program will provide book publishers an economical supply chain to sell lower volume book titles.

The Print-On-Demand (POD) program will remove the economic barriers of traditional book publishing and make the titles available to Amazon.com customers, according to Amazon.

With this Amazon will offer more books to its customers.

The company has also announced that it will provide discounted book scanning services to the publisher.

Greg Greeley, vice president of worldwide media at Amazon.com, said: “This program offers our customers increased choice and selection while providing publishers quick and efficient distribution of previously unavailable titles without exposure to the risk and expense of traditional methods”.
