Ayaz Nanji says, “Nearly half (47%) of small businesses do not actively use social media, and 25% say they are unlikely to use social media in the future, according to a survey conducted by research firm Clutch.
The report was based on data from a survey of 354 small business owners or managers in the United States; 55% of respondents are part of companies with fewer than 10 employees and less than $1 million in annual revenue.
The following are some additional key findings from the report:
—38% of respondents expect to spend more employee time on social media this year.
—30% of businesses that use an outside agency/consultant for social media plan to decrease spend in 2015, compared with 12% that plan to increase spend“.
