The Practical eCommerce website has published a list of 10 social sharing alternatives, helpful plugins and other (non-WordPress) solutions for adding sharing buttons to a website. Paul Chaney, the author of the article, reports that he has tested these products and concluded these 10 are the best options currently available.

Some only support a few top social sites (the ones used by most people); other support as many as 36 social sites.
