Modern Tools for Mail-Based Info Marketers
When you’re in business, they say you have to be quick.
From experience, I can say that this is true. The old jokes about customers and bosses needing things “yesterday” tend to be played out in life rather accurately and often people can be out of a job if they don’t things done quickly.
When you are an entrepreneur, you’re the one who has to do the fast moving yourself. You often have to force yourself to go at lightning speed in order to get your work done, get paid,
and maintain whatever personal or professional obligations you have as well. It can be really tough, but it’s not impossible.
Information marketers are at an advantage here. To begin with, their overhead is low and they don’t have to worry about relying on others to get their tasks done. As well, they have a
lot of modern tools to keep them on the route to making sure these jobs are completed correctly, but with express speed.
Here are a few techniques every info marketer should use regularly:
— E-mail: It sounds trivial, but it’s true. If you were starting off in business even 15 years ago, you were probably going to be a slave to the postmasters. Getting letters, information, and
products out to your clients and associates would have completely depended on the efficiency of the mail service. But then came the Internet and that universal tool, e-mail. You can
get all of that stuff and more off to clients in a matter of seconds after sending it. It’s cheap and most others are connected to it. It has loads of options for sending big info files and setting up chat links for even quicker correspondence. In short, it’s a fast communicator’s dream. Don’t forget about the power of e-mail and use it whenever you can within your info marketing business.
— Courier and delivery services: While e-mail is fantastic, some things just can’t be sent over the wires. A good-sized info book and large info packages are prime examples. Now you
can look at the local mail as an option to get them out, but again there are those factors of security, dependability and time. If you have a few extra bucks, I’d suggest using a courier
service. They have to be quick and secure, as they are paid to do so. They can get your packages out on foot, by road and by air. You can often incur a discount if you become a regular courier service user as well. Couriers and delivery services are synonymous with express services, and, if you need them, they are there to get the job done. Fast.
— Payments: Related to the above items, getting paid or paying your bills in the past was also something that was controlled by the mail as well. Let’s be honest and say that no one likes to
wait to get their cash, regardless of receiving or sending it. Good thing this is a thing of the past. If you have to transfer funds for any reason, think about using an online program like
“PayPal.” They can get your cash to move quickly, across borders, and in the most secure way possible. For a more traditional method, “Western Union” works well for money
transfers, too. When in doubt though, consult your local bank. They might be able to set up a regular transfer service right from your account that you can access online. The dollar signs
are meant to move in info marketing and it’s good to know that the wires of modern technology can help.
— Telephone and Web communications: I wasn’t around in the working world back when rotary dial phones and big in-house conferences were commonplace. I suppose those folks
functioned well, but these days telecommunication has become so much simpler. You can do whole Web conferences and conduct overseas calls using such programs as “Skype” that are
downloadable from the Internet. If you need big programs for big telephone networking tasks, consult your local computer program provider. Telecommunications has become as
extravagant as all the other modern devices in providing business pros with fast services. Cheaply, too. Get hip to them to get your business done quicker.
You have to move fast, you have to move correctly, and you have to move to get your jobs done. In info marketing, time is money and you need to utilize your time effectively. But with
some help from the newest gizmos and gadgets of the 21st Century, you can do all of these in no time flat.
