Just because I said grammar doesn’t matter

Although proper grammar is not always necessary, you still need to be sure to proofread your copy.

How many times have you begun typing one thing while working on a copywriting task and then think of something else right in the middle? So, you move down a few lines and type up the thought, before you forget it, and completely forget about what you were typing at the top of the page.

You’ve finally gotten the perfect wording and your brain starts working faster than your hands can type, so you end up with typos galore.

These things happen everyday and there are lots of reasons that people don’t double check their work.

Excitement is one reason. They are so excited that they finally got it just right and want to get it out there for people to see that they don’t think to proofread their work first.

Take the time to look for typos and any other errors you find because it will make a difference in how your visitors perceive you.

Have a friend look over it before you turn it loose in cyberspace as well. It’s a fact that two sets of eyes are better than one.
