We had a fun call last week talking about get r ich quick stuff. Lots of people listening but not too many talking. COWARDS! :>)

Meanwhile, Saturday I got the urge to go into the basement to pull out some old computers to find some stuff I’d written some time ago.

One of the manuscripts I found was originally called “Get R ich Quick EXPOSED!”

I wrote it sometime back in the late 90s I think. I don’t remember what I did to sell it back then but I quickly realized people won’t pay to find out what doesn’t work!

They want to get r ich quick! Duh.

Meanwhile, I have something embarassing to admit. I was watching Oprah on Friday! It’s not something I normally do but I was tinkering with a new digital video recorder and stumbled on the show.

Her topic was millionaire moms. One of the guests was Paula Deen. She has two cooking shows..owns two restaurants, has 5 best selling books and a magazine.

She started with only $200 making sandwiches with a southern touch. The name of her business was “The Bag Lady”

What stood out for me was something she said about her start. When she started cooking to make money she had a simple definition of success….

“If we needed to go to the grocery store on Wednesday we could do it and the check would not bounce…because payday was on a Friday”

What a great message. Don’t swing for the fences at first. Don’t fret because you can’t get out of debt in a day. You didn’t get into debt in a day, did you?

Don’t try to make a million bucks in in the first week. Shoot for $100 first.
