eBay and PayPal have announced an expansion of PayPal Buyer Protection. eBay and PayPal will give the buyers up to $2,000 of coverage for qualified transactions on eBay.com, according to eBay.

PayPal Buyer Protection
PayPal Buyer Protection is a free program available in the United States and Canada.
The program covers qualified transactions on eBay up to $2,000 for:
– non-delivery of items, and
– for the delivery of items that are not as described.
eBay sellers can qualify for the program by maintaining a 98% positive feedback rating and 50 feedback points.
PayPal will offer purchase protection on 95% of items listed on eBay.com, January 17, 2007 onwards.
