MIVA, an online advertising network, has launched ‘MIVA Direct’ in Europe. MIVA Direct’s European operation will cover the UK, Germany, France, Spain and Italy, according to MIVA.

MIVA Direct’s toolbar provides direct links to relevant content and search functionality.

Peter Corrao, CEO, MIVA, has provided the following information about MIVA Direct:

– In Q3 2006, MIVA Direct represented 22% of MIVA’s total revenue ($9.4 million)

– In 2006, MIVA Direct’s revenue increased by 74% over the 2005

– In Q3 2006, MIVA Direct had 7 million active toolbar users worldwide.
