In November 2006, 83 unique phishing reports were received in Korea, according to “Korea Phishing Activity Trends Report, November, 2006” from Anti-Phishing Working Group.
Phishing Activity Trends Report Data
The APWG has provided the following data:
– Average monthly growth rate in phishing sites during July 2004 – October 2006 was 10.1%
– In November 2006, 22 brands were hijacked by phishing campaigns
– The most hijacked brands belong to United States
– 56.6% contain some form of target name in URL.
