F-Secure has warned the Internet users from a ‘Warezov spam’ which uses a “Happy New Year” postcard as a disguise.

The e-mail comes with an attachment called ‘postcard.zip’.

The text message says:

“Hi, you’ve just received a postcard.

For: (your email address)

From: —

Text: Happy New Year!

Postcard:
Click on attachment to view a postcard.” [source]

When users run the attachment, it connects to www6.easeruikingandefunjs.com and downloads a Warezov variant, which is a Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Small.edn, according to F-Secure.
