Yahoo! China has won an unfair competition lawsuit against Beijing Sanjiwuxian Internet Technology Co., Ltd., the operator of Qihoo.com.
Yahoo! China has won an unfair competition lawsuit against Beijing Sanjiwuxian Internet Technology Co., Ltd., the operator of Qihoo.com.
According to the lawsuit filed by Yahoo!, Sanjiwuxian developed and distributed a software ‘360safe’. 360 asked its users to de-install Yahoo! Toolbar by telling them that Yahoo! Toolbar is ‘malware’.
Beijing’s Second Intermediate People’s Court has ordered Sanjiwuxian to compensate Yahoo! China for damages and reasonable legal costs, and make a public announcement that clarifies all incorrect allegations that were made to Yahoo! China, according to Alibaba.com.
