Why should I offer articles to ezines?

In the world of affiliate marketing, the question of “what’s in it for me?” is one of the most frequently heard. Affiliates ask the question of their potential partners, and web site owners ask it of potential affiants. Everyone wants to know what’s in it for them, and to many newbie affiliates the idea of giving away valuable content seems storage and counterintuitive.

There are, however, so solid reasons, and huge advantages, to giving away articles to ezine and newsletter publishers. Some of the most common reasons for offering this free content as listed below.

– Advertising ““ Creating name recognition, and making a name for yourself, is a great reason to give away content to ezine and newsletter publishers. You will make a good name for yourself, your business and your web site when you submit intriguing and interesting articles.

– Submitting articles to respected internet newsletters or ezines can give you instant expert status with the community to which the ezine is marketed. People are always more comfortable taking advice and recommendations from experts in the field, and this can lead to greater conversion rates and more sales for your affiliated merchants.

– The ezine publisher may place your article on his or her home page. This can provide valuable additional exposure, especially if each issue of the ezine is made available on the home page.

– You can get still more exposure if the ezine publisher keeps back issues of the ezine on his or her web site. Many people are reluctant to subscribe to an ezine until they have read several issues, so many publishers keep at least six months of back issues on their web server.

– Free advertising. You can’t beat the appeal of free advertising, and ezine articles provide this exceptional form of advertising. Use the advertising money saved on advertising and spend it elsewhere. For instance, you could use the money you save to buy an ad in an ezine that does not accept article submissions.

– You may be seen as such a good writer that other web site owners ask to purchase articles from you.

– Ezines can turn into great sources of viral marketing. For instance, you could offer the publisher of the ezine the right to publish your work in their ebooks for free. These ebooks are often widely shared, and they can offer great marketing opportunities and the possibility of your name being spread across the internet for free.

– Giving your article to ezine publishers who keep a directory of free content at their web site means that your article gains exposure throughout the internet.

– As people grow to recognize your name and company name, their level of trust will grow, and they will be more likely to purchase the products you recommend. Of course, it is important to reward that level of trust by offering only the best products through your affiliate links.
There is no doubt that providing valuable, useful content to ezines is one of the best ways to market any affiliate program. Sometimes giving away something of value makes a lot of sense, and it can help you to grow your business in the long run. As your reputation in the market continues to grow, many people will seek out your advice, and you will likely see your click throughs and conversion rates rise accordingly.
