Jennifer Hyman, CSE Product Marketing Manager at Google, has announced that now Google allows AdSense publishers to build their own Custom Search Engine.

With CSE, publishers can:

– Create a customized and tailored search experience for their users

– Place the search engine on their site

– Link CSE to AdSense for search account and make money from the resulting traffic.

To create a Custom Search Engine:

1. Visit http://www.google.com/coop/cse/ and select the websites you’d like to include in your search index

2. Choose to restrict search results to include only those pages and sites

3. From the CSE site, generate the code to place on your site and make the search engine, through an IFRAME, look and feel like your own.
