Bret Taylor, Product Manager at Google, has announced the first release candidate for ‘Google Web Toolkit 1.2’.

What is Google Web Toolkit?

“Google Web Toolkit (GWT) is a Java software development framework that makes writing AJAX applications like Google Maps and Gmail easy for developers who don’t speak browser quirks as a second language.” [source]

Taylor said: “We are launching this Release Candidate build of Version 1.2 so that we can get bug reports and feedback from GWT developers. We will follow up with the final 1.2 release in a few weeks once we have fixed all of the major issues in the Release Candidate.” [source]
