Google’s US advertising revenue will increase by 65% in 2006. Google will represent 25% of total online ad revenues in the US, according to eMarketer.

eMarketer has provided the following data:

– In 2006, Yahoo! will represent 18% of total online ad revenues in the US

– In 2005, Google’s US ad revenues increased by 93%

– Yahoo!’s US ad revenues increased by 37.3%

– In 2007, Google will represent 30% of total US ad revenues

– Yahoo! will represent 18.4% of total US ad revenues.

David Hallerman, Senior Analyst, eMarketer, said: “By gobbling up YouTube last week,

Google acknowledged that even though paid search gives it a robust revenue stream, that alone won’t be enough to compete against Yahoo!, MSN and other major players in the years to come”. [source]
