Google Maps API blog has provided guidelines for API page authors.

Due to VML security vulnerability in Internet Explorer, users and organizations have to disable VML entirely.

Google is going to release a fix this week.

Doug Ricket, Software Engineer, Google Maps, said: “We noticed that a recent security vulnerability in Internet Explorer VML has led some users and organizations to disable VML entirely. This disables polylines for Internet Explorer users of the Google Maps API. We expect to release a fix this week”. [source]
