The ReturnPath study tracked the delivery, blocking and filtering rates for 144,000 email campaigns.
The following is the data provided by ReturnPath:
– ‘In the second half of 2005, 20.5% of commercial emails were blocked or filtered
– In the first half of 2005, 21% of commercial emails were blocked or filtered
– Domestic ISP CompuServe reported 11.8% commercial email blocking and filtering rate
– USA.net reported 13.2% commercial email blocking and filtering rate
– Excite blocked 50.7% commercial emails
– Gmail’s commercial email blocking rate was 34.3%’.
