ICANN has appointed Michelle Cotton as the IANA Liaison to the IETF.
ICANN has appointed Michelle Cotton as the IANA Liaison to the IETF.
Ms. Michelle will coordinate the activities associated with IANA’s work for the IETF community including administering agreements between the IETF and ICANN, according to ICANN.
According to ICANN: “Ms. Michelle joined ICANN in 2000, where she has been responsible for processing all types of IANA requests including protocol parameters, TLD root-zone requests, .INT administration and numbering resource requests.
With Michelle’s longevity with ICANN, she will continue to contribute a wealth of knowledge and history to the IANA team.” [source]

ICANN is responsible for the global coordination of the Internet’s system of unique identifiers. These include domain names and the addresses used in a variety of Internet protocols.
