26 million Americans were using Internet to read news and find information about politics in August 2006, according to Pew Internet.

The telephone survey conducted by Pew Internet & American Life Project from August 1 – August 31 involved 3,001 adults.

– 21 million Americans use Internet daily for political news and information
– In July 2002, 11 million Americans were using Internet for political news and information
– In August 2006, 68% Americans were using Internet
– In July 2002, 59% Americans were using Internet
– In August 2006, 41% US adults were having broadband Internet connection at home.
