Yahoo, Skype, and MSN are the top three PC-based VoIP applications providers in US, according to an In-Stat study.

In-Stat study involved 1,217 US households. 23% of the surveyed people use some sort of VoIP, according to In-Stat.

The following is the data provided by In-Stat:

– ‘One-third of respondents were using Vonage’s broadband IP telephony solution

– 15% of respondents were using AT&T and Verizon services

– Most providers accounted for less than 10% of respondents

– The broadband IP telephony market will reach 5 million residential subscribers in 2006

– By 2010, the broadband IP telephony market will reach 19 million residential subscribers

– The residential Broadband IP Telephony services will generate $1.4 billion in 2006’.
