The following is the data provided by Panda Software in its malware report for the second quarter of 2006:
– ‘54.4% of the new malware detected during the Q2 of 2006 were Trojans
– In Q1 of 2006, 47% of the new malware detected were Trojans
– Backdoor Trojans accounted for 12% of all malware
– Dialers accounted for 3.8% of all malware
– The malware were aimed at staling the financial information’.
