The following are the new features of IE7:
– ‘Min/max width/height support
– Transparent borders
– Fixed positioning support
– Selectors: first-child, adjacent, attribute, child
– A couple of CSS 3 attribute selectors: prefix, suffix and substring
– Alpha channel PNG support’.
The Microsoft Internet Explorer Blog has provided a set of documentation and tools to help users transfer their pages to IE7.
The tools and documentation include:
– IE 7 Readiness Toolkit
– Cascading Style Sheet Compatibility in Internet Explorer 7
– Developer and ITPro Checklists
– Application Compatibility Toolkit that logs and identifies changes in behavior due to changes in IE 7 and Vista
– Information Index for IE 7.
