IMS has launched ‘iLane’, a hands-free and eyes-free eMail solution for in-vehicle use.

iLane provides a voice-based interface to access email messages while in transit, according to IMS.

Key features of iLane include:

– iLane notifies the driver of incoming emails a natural sounding voice

– Driver can listen to the whole email messages

– email messages can be composed and forwarded

– Phone calls, SMS messages, and a email attachment types can also be managed

– email messages can be filtered and prioritized based on personal preferences

– iLane device is available with pre-enabled Bluetooth
