6% of U.S. web users download Podcasts regularly, according to a report ‘The Economics of Podcasting’ by Nielsen Analytics.
6% of U.S. web users download Podcasts regularly, according to a report ‘The Economics of Podcasting’ by Nielsen Analytics.
Nielsen Analytics survey involved 1700 Internet users.
Key findings of the report include:
– 75% of downloaders were male
– 38% of active podcast downloaders listen to radio less often
– 60% of respondents fast forward past commercials in their podcasts
– The average length of the podcasts being listened to was 44 minutes
– 72% of respondents download an average of one to three podcasts per week.
