4.1% of Online U.S. households subscribe to a VoIP Telephone service, according to a report by Telephia, a performance measurement information provider.
Key findings of the report include:
– VOIP Subscribers increased from 2.2 million in Q1 of 2006 to 2.9 million in Q2 of 2006
– Vonage owns 53.9% of total U.S. VOIP market
– Verizon VoiceWing is having 5.5% of total VOIP subscribers
– AT&T CallVantage is also having 5.5% of total VOIP subscribers
– SunRocket’s market share is 4.0%
– 27% of VoIP subscribers who are planning to change providers provide network quality as the primary reason for switching providers
– 14.7% plan to change the providers for better customer service.
